The beginnig of the pottery tradition in Bunho dates back to the prehistoric age with the prodution of hand-made vessels. Bunho's clay smelting pots were used in the mines of Mount Neme and the gold mines of Corcoesto,. The medieval forms offer hardly any variety and austere decorations. This pottery lived its golden age with the manufacture of the jets for the market's fountain in A Corunha when water was installed in the XVIII and XIX centuries. Pieces of pottery, documents and photographs of  Bunho even arrived to the Museum of the Hispanic Society of America.
