| Bergantinos'
Celtic traditions
Corme's
lands remind the superficial Christianization of Galicia; In Gondomil,
a cross was put on the Pedra da Serpe -identical of
the Cape Hadrian one-,
to turn pagan
rites into Christian adoration. In front of the beautiful Ermida
beach, in the Estrela isle, two cromlechs and Celtic settlement
were once substituted by a Virgin's chapel. Just in this island
were buried unknown cadavers left by Roncudo's sea.
In the same way, in Monte Faro's Brantuas
famous pilgrimage, people
used to turn the church tiles in order to change the wind direction,
as it is still performed in some of the Celtic countries. There
is a magnificent view from the Monte Faro: Corme and its creek,
Cape Nariga, and Brantuas' valley.
The natural attractiveness of Corme's rocky
coast hides the unknown beaches of Ninons, Morro and Barda.
Near the last one, there is a Castro (old Celtic settlement)
inhabited by Mouros, fantastic Celtic mythology characters
called Mauras in Ireland and Korrigans in Britanny.
